Maria is a two-time Breast Cancer survivor and doesn’t hide her diagnosis in the hopes of helping others. While being honored at the luncheon, she once again stressed the importance of getting regular checks up and appropriate exams. “It’s that early detection – that’s why I’m here,” she told the crowd. “My cancer didn’t spread.”
