Nonetheless, her anchoring and reporting career debuted when she served in Springfield, Missouri at KYTV as an anchor and reporter. Further, she was on scene during the aftereffects of the EF-5 tornado that hit Joplin in 2011.
Moreover, she attained a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for her report on a Missouri veteran whose case was abused at a local VA hospital. Additionally, she served in Phoenix, Arizona at KTVK as an anchor and a reporter. During her stint there, she provided coverage for everything such as wildfires and immigration. Later, she migrated to the Fort Worth region.
For seven years, she served WFAA in Dallas as a weekend evening anchor and reporter prior to her Chicago stint. While there, she attained Regional Emmys for her work on a number of feature stories and for her live reports on the night of the 2016 Dallas police ambush.
