Lundak used to be a lifeguard for 3 years having started in 2013 in Omaha. Initially, she was an intern for WOWT from May 2018 to August 2018. During her internship, she would go with reporters and anchors on scoop duties to assist in filming and cross-examine people for breaking and local stories. Also, while on-site she would help generate stories and news reports shot as stand-ups and live shots. On top of this, she wrote scripts listened to police scanners, helped producers search for material to put on daily newscasts, and transcribed interviews and videos whenever she was in the newsroom.
Secondly, she worked for Collegian Television 11 in Colorado State University’s student-run TV station as a part-time news anchor and reporter from 2017 to May 2019. As well, she was the News Director from August 2018 to April 2019 and was the producer for the station from August 2018 to December 2018. Her career launch in broadcasting was in Lincoln, Nebraska at Channel 8 KLKN-TV where she worked as a Multimedia journalist and reporter for a year and 10 months having joined in June 2019 and leaving in March 2021. She was awarded a ‘Future Broadcasters award’ by the Colorado Broadcasters Association for her work.
In addition to that, she was on the scene of various breaking news events like the Local Black Lives Matters(George Floyd Protesters), the relentless aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Live Coverage of fallen Lincoln Police Officer Mario Herrera and the vaccination process. As of 2022, she works for WOWT as a journalist since March 2021.
