She began her broadcasting career as a Meteorologist intern at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. After that, she was hired as a meteorologist at WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Alabama. In May 2014, she joined the national outlet WeatherNation in Denver, where she covered devastating tornadoes in the Midwest, massive hurricanes along the US coast, and wildfires raging from northern Montana to sections of California.
