Emmy award-winning journalist, Nancy Loo is an American journalist working at News Nation as the West Coast Bureau correspondent since joining the network in June 2020. Previously, Nancy worked as a primary reporter for WGN-TV in Chicago, Illinois. Before that, she co-anchored the early morning newscasts on Fox-owned station WFLD-TV in Chicago. Loo also worked for NY1 (New York One), an all-news cable channel for New York City, as one of the original “video journalists.”

Loo began her broadcasting career at TVB Pearl, a Hong Kong-based English-language station. She served as an anchor and also traveled extensively to cover news in the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand. Later on, she worked as a freelance journalist for ABC Radio, covering important stories from Japan, North Korea, and South Korea. She also anchored an English-language newscast on Japan Cable TV before moving to New York City in 1989. After that, she was hired by News 12 Long Island as a freelance television reporter.
In 1992, Loo joined NY1 (New York One), an all-news cable channel for New York City, as one of the original “video journalists.” She also filled in as an anchor, her efforts anchoring nonstop from 4:00 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. on the day of the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 earned her the Women in Cable National Anchor of the Year Award. In 1994, Loo was employed as a general assignment reporter by WABC-TV, the flagship station of the ABC station group. Later, the station introduced a daily health news segment for Loo on-set for the early morning program.
In 2001, Loo relocated to Chicago to co-anchor the early morning newscast on Fox-owned station WFLD-TV. She eventually assumed the role of co-anchor for the lunchtime newscast on the channel. Loo moved to Chicago, Illinois in 2010 to work as a primary reporter for WGN-TV. She was assigned to the morning and lunchtime newscasts, a position she held for 10 years before joining Newsnation in 2020.
