Seth Kaplan is an American journalist working at WHTM/ABC 27 News as a Reporter and Fill-in anchor based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He has been working with the network since May 2023. Previously, Kaplan worked as a reporter at KYW-TV/CBS News Philadelphia and KDKA-TV/CBS News Pittsburgh. Before that, Seth worked for Airline Weekly as the Founding Editor and Managing partner. He also worked for the Miami-Dade County government in Miami/Fort Lauderdale.

Kaplan is an American journalist working as a Reporter and Fill-in anchor at WHTM/ABC 27 News in Harrisburg. He began his TV reporting career at WDVM in Hagerstown, in 1994. He also covered weekend reports for WHAG-NBC 25, then the nation’s youngest network affiliate reporter. After a few stints in TV news, Seth worked for Miami-Dade County government for a number of years, overcoming challenges in areas such as elections and transportation from the inside out. Because of that experience, he has a distinct viewpoint when discussing those topics now.

He then worked for Airline Weekly for the following ten plus years, concentrating on aviation. However, he always felt the absence of TV news reporting and resolved to return to it when the opportunity and position presented themselves. After they finally sold Airline Weekly to Skift, Seth became a free agent and was extended an invitation to join the amazing team of broadcast journalists at abc27. He could only work on a team that was equally thorough in reporting important stories and covering important news as this one.

Seth is originally from Miami and has many things in common with Midstaters but you will never agree with him that Doug Pederson is the one who led the Eagles to their lone world championship. To him Doug Pederson is the backup quarterback who guided the Dolphins to a historic 325th victory on November 14, 1993, versus the Eagles, setting a record.
