Rockey is also a freelance writer and reporter for the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman. He has held the position since January 2018. From August 2011 – November 2012, he held the position of sports and news anchor at KBGA. He also interned at Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman from April 2012 – 2015 as a sports reporter.
