Tom Clements is an American meteorologist who joined the KEYC team in January 2017 as a Weekend Meteorologist/Reporter. He was given Morning and Midday Meteorologist positions in June 2017 and in December 2021, he became a fill-in meteorologist.

Tom Clements Education
Clements attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in History. While still a student at UNC, he reported and anchored the entertainment block for the student newscast, Channel 98 Bear News. Later, Tom moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 2012 to pursue his calling in meteorology at KNOP.

Tom is originally from Burlington, Ontario, Canada where he was born but was raised in Colorado. Therefore, Tom attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in History. Additionally, Clements also worked for KOAA Colorado Springs, where he began his career as one of the studio crew members for the morning show. Later, Tom moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 2012 to pursue his calling in meteorology at KNOP.
Tom enjoys all sports, but more so hockey and golf. He loves it outdoors or playing a couple of video games whenever off duty. Tom loves to travel and explore new places. He also loves meeting new people a job where it’s different every day and talking to interesting people.
Tom Clements Hobbies
Clements loves getting out in the field and showing the extremes of the weather. Most people would probably want to run away from a tornado or hurricane. But not him . He enjoys seeing the raw, awesome power of Mother Nature. When Tom was growing up, he wanted to be a paleontologist since he was really into Dinosaurs (kind of still he is. Jurassic Park is still is favorite movie).
His interest in weather was for the fact that weather is fascinating because it’s constantly changing. “It has the power to influence everything we do. From the clothes that we wear to the way that we feel. Helping people stay informed and stay safe is also a big priority of mine, and I love that I can help people while on the air”. Tom stated
Tom is an old-school rocker and loves music from the late 60s – the early 70s. Led Zeppelin, Queen, AC/DC. that kind of thing. He enjoys cooking especially Italian dishes and if going out to eat, he is probably try and find something Asian. Sushi, Pad Thai, Pho, or Vietnamese. He believes his hidden talents is being an opera singer which he did in college. His proudest moment is getting married, and others like circumnavigating the globe in 2008 with Semester at Sea.
