Araiza works for WFTS as an anchor and reporter on weekend nights. . Prior to this, when she first joined the station in August 2019 she served as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. She has worked for WEAR ABC 3 TV which is an ABC affiliate, in Pensacola. In addition, her first on-screen job was at WTVY-TV in Dothan, Alabama which is a CBS affiliate.
While she worked for WTVY, she did stories that led to the change of unsafe conditions for the people living in said conditions, traveled with WWII veterans to Washington D.C., and held companies responsibly. Further, she gained an Associated Press award for ‘Best Specialized Reporter’ while she worked for WTVY. Afterward, she went on to work in Birmingham, Alabama.
Also, she has served Fox 6 for nearly 5 years. Further, she provided coverage for many events such as a Christmas tornado outbreak and controversial political runs to a Christmas tornado outbreak. The coverage of the Christmas tornado heartbreak was acknowledged with an Edward R. Murrow award. It was in 2019 that Araiza returned to Florida and worked at WKMG in Orlando.
While in Orlando, she went to Puerto Rico thrice after Hurricane Maria to broadcast the stories of the thousands of people that had been impacted. Furthermore, she went to Puerto Rico in 2020 for the fourth time after earthquakes quaked the unstable island. On top of this, she regularly volunteers.
She currently volunteers on the board of empowerment and is working with the Junior League of Tampa and the Children’s Cancer Center. Also, she worked as a hospice foster at Second Chance Friends animal rescue during the Corona pandemic.
