When he was 18 years old and worked for Radio Disney, Aaron began his radio journalism career. After a brief time in Tucson, Arizona, anchoring a radio show, he relocated to Los Angeles and got a job as an on-air television host for Daybreak OC, an Orange County-based morning lifestyle/news show that covers all of Los Angeles. After that, he continued his career as a features reporter at KSWB in San Diego until he was hired by WNBC in New York.
He served as the host of New York Live at WNBC while employed by NBCUniversal. There, he won the “Best Features Reporter” Emmy Award three times in a row. Benjamin was a correspondent for Extra and a co-host of the widely syndicated television show Crazy Talk. Aaron joined country music icon Kellie Pickler as co-host of the syndicated discussion shows Pickler & Ben in September 2017. He returned to New York after the summer 2019 termination of that talk program and began working for Pickler & Ben distributor Scripps as a morning features reporter for their recently acquired WPIX-TV station in New York at the beginning of 2020.
