Andrea began her journalism career as an intern at the Local Univision station in Colorado. Six months before graduating, she was offered a job as a multimedia producer at the station.
In May 2019, Herrera received a Heartland Emmy Award nomination for her featured news report “Yoga Entre Humo.” Herrera left Univision after two years and joined Telemundo Colorado as a part-time writer and producer. Herrera loves to hang out with her friends, family, and her pets, Mika, Malú, and Esperanza, in her free time. She also has a passion for fashion, photography, and the outdoors.
