Bankert began her broadcasting career as a Traffic anchor at Hearts Television in Sacramento, California. After a year, she was promoted to News anchor and reporter serving the station for 5 years and 11 months.

In June 2012, Adrienne joined KTVT | CBS 11 News as a Morning anchor in Dallas/Fort Wort. While there, she covered some of the greatest issues of the decade, including Ebola in America and the Affordable Care Act.
