Prior to CBS, he served at the News Nation Network based in Chicago as chief meteorologist. During his time there, he provided coverage for landfalling hurricanes, blizzards, wildfires, and tornado outbreaks for the entire nation.
Moreover, he served in Austin, Texas at KVUE as chief meteorologist for more than 10 years. While there, he attained two regional Emmy Awards and a number of Associated Press Awards, counting for Best Weathercast.
