Monahan works for WSB as as the weekend morning and noon meteorologist since September 2014. Also, he forecasts on Channel 2 Action News at noon. While working for WSB, in 2015 he broadcasted unforgettable winter storms in Boston that expelled various feet of snow. This led to the destruction of the area and its dissemination to Metro Atlanta.
Also, in 2016 he covered the damaging tornado outbreak in late January that babbled over southwest Georgia and in October Hurricane Matthews. Further, in 2017 he covered the unforgettable flooding in Houston due to Harvey’s rains for a week. Additionally, in 2018 he broadcasted Hurricane Florence in North Georgia. In January 2009, he started serving the station as a weekend morning meteorologist and reporter.
Prior to working for WSB, he served KIRO-TV, Seattle as a weekday morning and noon meteorologist for a year and 11 months since November 2012. Also, he worked for WFTV, Orlando as a weekend evening meteorologist for 2 years and a month since November 2010. Further, he served WINK-TV, Fort Myers as a weekday morning and noon meteorologist for 4 years and 7 months since May 2006.
Last but not least, he served WBRE-TV/WYOU-TV, Wilkes-Barre as a fill-in and weekend morning meteorologist for 3 years since April 2003. On a side note, he is an avid sports fan especially college ones. Also, he takes interest in politics and fitness and loves animals.
