Also, in 2017 he won an Emmy for broadcasting Hurricane Irma.

Additionally, he has received the ‘Excellence Award’ from the Atlanta chapter of the American Meteorological Society for “Outstanding and innovative live team coverage” of drastic weather. Last but not least, he has the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) identification from the American Meteorological Society. Also, he is one of the 90 meteorologists in the state to achieve this credential.
