Leeds started his career at KEVN Black Hills FOX as a meteorologist and reporter from Oct 2011-Jan 2016. Fortunately, this is the same time he met his lovely wife Shauna making him a family man. Additionally, he attended numerous Sturgis Motorcycle Rallies, including the 75th.
He vividly recalls a weather event that was Winter Storm Atlas in 2013 which dumped 3 feet of snow in Rapid City, SD. However, He later joined Action News Now as a meteorologist from Feb 2016 to July 2018 in the Chico California area.
Darren joined KRCR ABC 7 team as a meteorologist in 2019 in Redding California. Therefore, he is currently a weekend meteorologist and a weekday multi-media journalist. In addition, he is a big fan of the Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox considering he was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
His skills include video editing, broadcast Television, and video production among others. Leeds loves to play golfing, lacrosse, and hiking. He also explores the Northstate with his wife and Corgi named Yoda whenever off duty.
