Therefore, Eric held similar positions at stations in Kansas City, at KSPR-TV in Springfield, MO, and at KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO. Eric’s investigations have enabled him to catch the attention of lawmakers in St. Paul to file legislation to protect Minnesota families.
Eric Chaloux Achievements
A law was successfully passed after Eric discovered the state did not require schools to test drinking water for lead. He also exposed legal, crime, and political stories in Kansas City for nearly a decade. His investigative series involving millions of dollars in unpaid bills and bizarre collection practices of a local public utility lead him to win Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Eric’s undercover news investigations exposed flaws in the state sales tax collection programs. This led to legislation being filed in Missouri and Kansas to correct the problems. Fortunately, these pieces ended up receiving the Missouri Broadcaster’s Association award for best news series of 2011. His honors in the Missouri Senate resulted from helping expose welfare fraud in 2013. Eric is an Emmy Award winner for his investigative reporting.
Prior to joining Television, Chaloux was a radio play-by-play and sports announcer where he covered high school and college teams around New England. Additionally, he hosted a weekly music radio show that aired in New England and parts of Canada. Eric was brought up in New Hampshire. He loves to ski and skate since he was 3 years old. He is happily married to his wife and together have a daughter and a son.
