Erica Simon is an American journalist working as a morning anchor for ABC13 News. She was born and raised in Texas. She attended Duncanville High School. She attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and her two-year-old daughter as well as a Dalmatian named Sampson. Serving others is one of Erica’s greatest passions outside of work. She has served as a mentor to young women for a number of years and has been on three mission trips abroad.
She helped feed an entire village and cared for Sunday school students at their sister congregation in Costa Rica. Her team visited widows, washed the hair of children in a Haitian village, and held a Christmas party at an orphanage for children with special needs in the Dominican Republic.
