Thomas was hired by Tribune Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate KFSM Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark. (DMA 99) as a weeknight anchor. This was after Katelynn Zoellner left so as to be close to family in California.
She started serving at KFSM in early June as a co-anchor of the station’s 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts. She works for a hand with Daren Bobb.
Thomas has received rewards for her reporting and anchoring career. Examples are at WKBN Youngstown, Ohio; KMEG-KPTH Sioux City, Iowa; and KOMU Columbia, Mo. These awards included a regional Murrow Award for investigative reporting and a regional Emmy award for Best Evening Newscast.
