Prior to WLS, he served the ABC station in San Antonio, Texas, KSAT-TV as a reporter. Also, he served as a co-anchor on the morning and noon newscasts in 1994. Further, he served in Dallas, Texas from 1991 to 1994 as a reporter and a fill-in anchor at KXAS-TV.
