Willis schooled at Clovis Wes for his high school education. He pursued his diploma course at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento. In addition, he joined San Francisco State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in cinema. Willis started her career in broadcasting at KMPH in 2004 as a news photographer.
Also, he joined KSEE in Fresno as a weekend anchor and reporter. Here, some of his assignments included production and anchoring weekend newscasts, including weather segments. He also set up live shots including signal, camera, and lighting. In addition, he was also the RTNDA award recipient for hosting in-studio series called “Family Focus”.However, he rejoined KMPH in 2013 for a 4-year stint on Great Day.
He later left for Hollywood shooting which he really enjoyed. Unfortunately, not before long, he developed signs and symptoms of Chiari Malformation. However, he underwent decompression surgery to ease the condition and took quite some time as a convalescent. He went back to his broadcasting career after recovery at ABC News in Washington, DC. However, he rejoined KMPH and has been there for quite some time.
