Monty was employed by WNCN in Durham, North Carolina Area from Nov 2000 – Jan 2006 anchor and reporter. However, shifted to KMPH Fox 26 from 2006 as an anchor and reporter to date with a lot of experience. He is hence a strong media with high skills in editing, Field Production, News Writing, camera, and Adobe Audition among others.

Torres started his career at KWHY-TV in Los Angeles, California as a weekend anchor. He later worked as a co-host for KCOP-TV’s community affairs show, “In Studio,” in Los Angeles for 3 seasons. Monty was the L.A. bureau chief of the Philippine News and worked for KMIR-TV in Palm Springs, California as an anchor and reporter.

Torres joined the NBC team in 2000 as the new morning show anchor for their station in Raleigh, North Carolina. Furthermore, he was also the morning show anchor/reporter for WNCN, Monty. He became Executive Producer/Host of the station’s only, locally produced public affairs show, “At Issue.” In addition, he created, produced, and hosted public affairs show to address North Carolina’s fast-growing Hispanic population.
