Rubio began her career at the station after graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington. She also covered several news events and sportscasts at the IU NewsNet newscast at the student news channel.
It was there that she gained her interest in storytelling and keeping the community informed. Rubio enjoys learning about what makes each one special and traveling to all the small towns across central Illinois. She finds it a great pleasure serving in her home state and also loves taking trips to Chicago to visit her family members. During her leisure time, she enjoys going to concerts, spending time with her two little nieces, being on a beach, and also trying out different restaurants
