Rincon works for WCBS-TV as a general assignment reporter. He joined the CBS New York News team in January 2019. Nonetheless, he debuted his career when he served in radio at WQUN-AM in Hamden while he was a sophomore in college. While there, he served as a production assistant, reporter, and writer. When he was in his junior year, he served as an overnight radio anchor at WTIC-AM in Hartford, Conn.
All things considered, by the time he completed his undergraduate studies, he had completed more than half a dozen internships. Upon his graduation, he went on to serve in Jacksonville, Florida, at WOKV-AM/FM as a reporter and anchor. To boot, he served as a contributor to multiple Edward. R. Murrow and AP awards. While there, he provided coverage for Florida politics and the end of NASA’s space program.
Moreover, he served as a Jacksonville Jaguars reporter for the NFL Network’s SiriusXM station. In 2012, he helped debut WNEW-FM, a CBS Radio station in Washington, D.C. Aside from his general assignment reporting, he provided coverage for Capitol Hill and the Supreme Court. Later, he went on to serve in New York City at 1010 WINS as a reporter and anchor.
In 2015, he assisted in the debut of another new radio station, SiriusXM for FOX News. During his streak there, he served as the afternoon drive-time anchor and breaking news reporter. Also, he served as a political reporter broadcasting the 2016 election from start to finish. Furthermore, he served WCBS 880 in 2018 as a reporter and anchor.
While there he started his transition to TV and freelanced at WCBS prior to becoming a staff reporter. During his stint at WCBS, he has provided coverage for the COVID-19 pandemic, immigration and its effects in the NYC region, a number of elections, and drastic weather. When he’s not working, he plays ice hockey and is an ardent Liverpool fan. Else, he loves food and is always open to recommendations.
