Then, he went to KSPR-TV in Springfield, Missouri, the United States of America, and served as a sports anchor and news reporter. He handled interviews, videotape recordings, news writing, and editing. Next, he became a news anchor and general assignment reporter at WSBT-TV for about 14 years. There, he was in charge of company representation in terms of keeping up appearances on live television and delivering public speeches.
Mason also did charity work for the West Portage Little League by being their head coach to train upcoming baseball youngsters.
