While she was in Peoria, she refereed political panels, held an award-winning live, prime-time special on race relations, MC fundraisers, and volunteered regularly. In addition to that, she is passionate about diversity and representation as it relates to media and journalism. Also, she won an award for “Call for Help” a story that revealed various neglected protocols within the local police department.
