After that, she landed a job at WILX-TV in Lansing Michigan, as a Weekend Morning Anchor, Reporter, and Producer. Liz spent a year as a freelance reporter before returning to Buffalo to work at WGRZ – Channel 2. She served the station as a multimedia journalist for two years after which she moved to Detorit’s FOX 2 News channel.

Although her career has not been linear in any manner, it has always been intentional. Her background in politics, public relations, education, and other fields has improved her standing as a journalist. The world is a stage, and we are all just players, as Shakespeare once observed. Liz is eager to see as much of this “stage” as she can, meeting with other “actors” along the way.

Liz is a proud Latina and she firmly believes in the power of representation. Her early experiences traveling the world and becoming aware of the injustices and inequalities she encountered sparked her love for community-based journalism. She is eager to explore, discover, and tell you everything about her experiences in the Motor City! She appreciates your embrace and says she’ll see you “out and about.”
