During her quarter-century in Jackson, she went to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and rode out the storm providing coverage for the after-effects of Hurricane Katrina.
Further, she received an Associated Press award for a piece on the obesity eruption in the state of Mississippi. In addition, she serves as a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE). When she is not working she chases her kids around.
