Serwe is a meteorologist at KSTP on the 5 Eyewitness News weather in the Twin Cities since October 2021. Previously, Matt. Prior to joining the KTSP team, he was working a few hours east of The Cities in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. He is also familiar with the weather patterns of the Great Lakes. Thereafter, Matt joined the KETV team in Omaha, Nebraska, where he served as the morning meteorologist for nine years. Further, he joined a forecasting team that covered the twin EF-4 tornadoes in Pilger, Nebraska, and the catastrophic spring floods of 2019.
Serwe is nerdy in many areas as would be expected with scientists. Before he joined KSTP, his only visits to The Cities were to see shows. Expect to see Matt bobbing up and down to the music at a number of venues across the metro. Matt proposed to his husband during an Arcade Fire show in 2017 which made live music even more meaningful. He is a big fan of Packers, Badgers, Bucks, and Brewers and besides he also hopes to enjoy all the sports the Twin Cities has to offer. Matt has toured extensively across the country to see his favorite artists and bands since he is very passionate about music.
