MCcormack returned to broadcasting after spending nearly 3 years as Individual Giving Manager of the Hunger Task Force food bank and farm in Southeast Wisconsin. She’s enjoyed returning to local news and working alongside legend Tom Zalaski. Further, MCcormack earned her reporting stripes at WGEM in Quincy, Ill., where her live reporting on the Great Flood of 1993 garnered an Edward R. Murrow Award. Murrow is a personal hero of Michele.

From there, MCcormack served the viewing public as a reporter at KWCH in Wichita, Kan., a weekend anchor/reporter at KMBC in Kansas City, Mo., a reporter, and a fill-in anchor at WPVI in Philadelphia, Penn. and an anchor/reporter at WDJT in Milwaukee. Additionally, Michele was recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for her anchoring on the best 10 p.m. newscast of 2013.
