Mike Anderson Education

After completing his high school education, Anderson went on to join Brigham Young University – Idaho in 1993. Later, in 1997 he became its graduate with an Associate of Applied Sceience degree in Communications and Broadcasting. Moreover, he went on to further his studies when he joined  Southern Utah University in 1997.

In 1999, he became its graduate with a B achelor Of Science degree in Mass Communications and Broadcasting and a Political Science minor. While at the college, a panel of four Professors nominated him“Broadcaster Of The Year.”  To boot, he served as a teaching assistant in a beginning TV Production class.

Mike Anderson Career

Anderson works for KSL as a reporter and a multimedia journalist. He joined the station in April 2011. Additionally, he has served the station for more than a decade. Often, he acts as his own photographer where he shoots and edits most of his stories. Prior to KSL, he served KUTV-TV as a photographer and a multimedia journalist for 5years and 7 months.

After completing his graduate studies, he went on to serve KOTA Territory News (ABC 3), the ABC station in Rapid City, South Dakota. For 2 and a half years beginning in May 1999, he served the station as an anchor producer and a reporter. Further, he served Fox 35 News Orlando as the Brevard County Bureau Chief and a reporter from November 2001 to March 2004. Else, he served as the station’s space reporter.

Regularly, he telecasted rocket and shuttles launches at Kennedy Space Center and in Cape Canaveral. Also,he served WTEV CBS 47 News in Jacksonville, Florida as a reporter for 1 and a half years since May 2004. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family. Furthermore, when he is not spending time with his family, he loves playing the guitar and woodworking.
