Mo Carter is an American award-winning sports journalist currently working at WZDX news as sports director. Previously, he worked at KALB in Alexandria, Louisiana as a sports anchor and was later promoted to the rank of sports director. He is a graduate of Southern University where he attained a degree in Mass Communications in 2009. Carter is a native of the bayous of Napoleonville, Louisiana.

Mo Carter Career
Carter worked as an on-air personality at Cumulus Media from September 2006-September 2008 in Baton Rouge. Here, he hosted a weekend show on WXOK-AM and KQXL-FM, was the voice of the community calendar as well as Voiced and edited commercials.
He later joined the WAFB TV team from June 2009 to August 2010 as a sports reporter, photographer as well as producer. His assignment included the Production of sports shows, Shooting and editing footage for sports segments, and Co-produced LSU as well as Southern University football specials among others.
Carter was a sports director at KALB-TV for three years in Alexandria, Louisiana Area. Therefore, he anchored, produced, shot, and edited 6.00 pm and 10.00 pm sportscasts for five days a week. In addition, he hosted and produced a high school sports show, The 5th Quarter.

He has won numerous AP awards during his career journey and reported on first-class sporting events like BCS Bowl games, SEC Championships, the 2012 NCAA Final Four, and Super Bowl XLVII. Mo has skills in broadcast television, sports, and broadcast journalism. Carter loves to engage the youths in educating them and follows the vintage episodes of Kenan and Kel, and Power Rangers as well as Justice League.
Also, he is a fan of Louisiana sports teams – New Orleans Saints, Southern Jaguars, and the New Orleans Pelicans. Mo is a member of NABJ and the Southern University Alumni Federation. Besides, he has two organizations as his accomplishments.
