Singh joined BBC Radio Lancashire in 2002 initially on work experience before being offered a six-month contract. She then moved to BBC GMR where she covered the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Singh joined the BBC’s North West Tonight regional news program in 2005 as a reporter and reporter. Ranvir’s first role as a national presenter came on Good Friday 2006 when he co-presented ‘Manchester Passion’, a BBC Three play about the last hours of Jesus Christ.

On 10 September 2007, Singh joined longtime presenter Gordon Burns as co-lead presenter of BBC North West Tonight. Former BBC South Today sports reporter Roger Johnson became Singh’s co-host in October 2011 following Burns’ departure. While working on North West Tonight, She was also a regular presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live’s late-night breakfast and weekend shows. Singh took maternity leave from North West Tonight on May 18, 2012. It was later announced that she would not be returning to the BBC but would be joining ITV’s Breakfast Daybreak. He made his first appearance on Daybreak on September 3, 2012.

Since 6 September 2020, Ranvir has co-hosted ten episodes of ITV’s All Around Britain, a new weekly themed series, with Good Morning Britain presenter Alex Beresford. Singh was replaced by Lorena’s entertainment presenter, Ria Hebden, when she took part in the 18th series of Strictly Come Dancing. On December 16, 2020, it was announced that Singh Lorraine would be presenting on December 21, 22, and 23 while lead presenter Lorraine Kelly would be on Christmas break. In 2021, Singh continued to perform in Lorraine.
