Richard joined the 5 Eyewitness News team in February 2020. He went to Emerson College in Boston where he graduated. Also, Reeve is a veteran reporter and has worked in markets across the country. He has hence worked in Savannah, Georgia; Little Rock, Arkansas; Buffalo, New York; New Haven, Connecticut; Indianapolis, Indiana; and most recently, in Washington, DC.
Richard experienced the most difficult, challenging stories in the days after the 9/11 attacks in New York City. He traveled to New York from Indianapolis and reported from there for three days. Reeve remembers an interview with Caroline Kennedy, during a campaign event. He remembers speaking with her, thinking, “my gosh, she has endured and seen so much.”
Richard is fortunate to have spent his entire career in radio, television, and web journalism. He has successfully won numerous awards for his work, including multiple Emmy Awards and a National Murrow. Richard hiked both urban and wilderness. He also loves mountain biking, working out, photography, and music. He has a goal to sample the caffeine at every single coffeehouse in the Twin Cities. His two grown children, Brandon and Janet, live in Maryland and Virginia.
