Riley Carroll is an American journalist working at KRDO as a weekend anchor and multimedia journalist. Previously, she worked at KAEF in Eureka, California where she started her career as a broadcaster. She is a graduate of California State University Fullerton with a degree in Journalism and American Studies and earned her M.A. from the University of Denver. Carroll is a native of Roseville, California although grew up in the Springs. However, she is excited to rejoin the community since she has a lot of memories of growing up here.

Riley interned at Placer SPCA as an animal welfare and also at CBS Corporation as a daytime programs intern for about three months. Here, she brainstormed ideas and created an emoji keyboard to promote CBS daytime. In addition, she collected and distributed overnight ratings to inform network executives and staff about the competition.

Additionally, she joined the Walt Disney Company as a cast member whereby she Interacts with guests on a daily basis, Improvises stories and conversations as well as works on a large team. She is an advisory board member at Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. Riley has owned a company “Life of Riley since 2019 which is a podcast about the stories of people who inspire me every day. Besides, she is an anchor and MMJ at News-Press & Gazette since 2020.
