Haywood works for WGMB as an evening news anchor of WVLA 44/ WGMB 33. He joined the station in May 2021. After he graduated, he went to Great Falls, Montana where he served as a multi-media journalist and news producer. Further, he provided coverage for the wildfires of 2017 that ruined most of the state and broadcasted blizzards on the Blackfeet Reservation.
Prior to Baton Rouge, he served in Kalamazoo, Michigan at WWMT as a news reporter. However, the news that garnered national attention was of six men who schemed to kidnap Michigan’s governor and overthrow the state government. When he is not working, he loves lifting weights, hunting, fishing, mentoring, and eating.
