Upon joining the station, she played a crucial role n WVLA’s team broadcast of the gubernatorial race. Eventually, the broadcast attained a first-place award for a large market from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters.
Prior to joining the station, she served in El Paso, Texas at KFOX for three years. During her stay at the U.S.-Mexico border, she specialized in breaking news and aiding tell local stories about people living and working in the bi-national metropolitan region. Moreover, she was famous for generating the famous piece“Do My Job,” where she performed over 65 jobs.
For instance, dairy farmer, wildlife rehabilitator, commercial truck driver, waste collector, and her favorite, chile ristra maker. Also, she took people behind the scenes and showcased the scrupulous work that leads up to the favorite events such as turf manager for AAA baseball, athletic director for an NCAA Division I sports show, and carpenter for the yearly Thanksgiving parade.
Furthermore, she served in Lexington at WKYT as a co-host of a weekly sports show. To boot, she served as the main host for a nationwide travel series, and radio personality, and even broadcasted high school football play-by-play frequently. Moreover, she served as a Ms. Kentucky United States. Walking the red carpet at the 2014 Kentucky Derby serves as one of her favorite experiences.
In her time on the west coast, she served as Miss Los Angeles County USA which supplied appearance opportunities on several networks counting CSPAN, ESPN, and The Sports Network (Canada). To boot, she serves as a reality show alumnus, having appeared on FOX and UPN (now The CW). When she is not working, she lays ‘dog mom’ to a rescued dog.
Furthermore, she serves as a member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge and volunteers with the American Cancer Society as a ‘Road to Recovery’ driver. Recently, she decided to learn golf and finds playing a game of pool more relaxing.
