Verdugo joined CBS News in 2013 as executive producer of “CBS This Morning” in Los Angeles before relocating to New York City in 2017 to oversee talent bookings for the show. Prior to his appointment as executive producer, Verdugo was part of the 2019 pitch team for “CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell” and was instrumental in bringing the show to Washington, DC as Editor-in-Chief. He helped develop franchises on the CBS Evening News, including Profiles in Service, which features ordinary Americans and members of the US military dedicating their lives to helping others. In addition, Verdugo helped launch and currently manages Person to Person with Norah O’Donnell on the CBS News Streaming Network. Person to Person is an updated and revamped version of the CBS News interview show once hosted by Edward R. Murrow.
Verdugo worked closely with O’Donnell for over a decade, overseeing his team’s news collection to cover breaking news, presidential election night, the January 6 riots, and exclusive interviews with sports, entertainment, business, and politics reporters, including many presidents, to report. and world leaders. Verdugo also contributed to a unique and award-winning investigation into sexual assault in the United States.

Adam also brings extensive experience producing major events and interviews that have aired on CBS News.
