She was previously the Washington correspondent for NewsOne, a news site affiliated with ABC News (2003–2004). Prior to ABC News, Cordes was a reporter for WJLA-TV Washington, DC(1999-2003). During his time at WJLA-TV, Cordes covered the September 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon, the 2000 presidential election, sniper attacks in the Washington, DC area, and peacekeeping efforts in Bosnia. Nancy began his career as a reporter for KHNL-TV in Honolulu (1995-1997).
