She became an executive from 1999-2007 with the UnitedHealth Group and served as a chief medical officer as well as CEO of United’s Care Management subsidiary.
Dr. Georgiou founded Georgiou Consulting in 2008. Therefore, she works with companies outside the typical boundaries of the traditional healthcare system. This is because this is where she believes innovation in healthcare will emerge like TripleTree, a health care focused mergers and acquisitions firm in Minneapolis. Also the Copper Development Association, and the trade industry group for the copper industry. There she focuses on the awareness and adoption of antimicrobial copper surfaces to decrease healthcare-associated infections. For over ten years, Archelle leveraged the media to enhance changes in healthcare. She has been the medical expert for Fox 9 News.
