Quijano began her career in 1994 as an intern at WCIA-TV in Champaign, Illinois, where she later became a reporter, producer, and host. In 1998, Quijano left WCIA to become reporter general for WFTS-TV in Tampa, Florida. Quijano has been a correspondent for CNN Newsource, a CNN affiliate, since December 2000.
