Monday through Friday, Ian Reitz may be seen on WVTM 13’s nightly newscasts. From Tampa, Florida, where he hosted the morning and noon newscasts for WTSP, Ian relocated to Alabama. In Florida, Ian covered the National College Football Championship Game, Hurricane Irma, and the Tampa Bay Rays’ historic trip to Havana to play the Cuban National team in a baseball game.
Before moving to Florida, Ian resided in Nashville, where he oversaw WSMV’s morning newscast. He traveled with the newscast and covered President Obama’s visit, CMA Fest, and the terrible tornadoes in Lincoln County. He was also awarded to get the Tennessee Associated Press Broadcasters’ “Best TV Anchor” award. Ian developed a love for country music while living in Music City. In Tucson, El Paso, and Palm Springs, he also worked as an anchor and reporter.
His wife, two sons, and he loves living in Birmingham. They enjoy going on weekend excursions and are constantly looking for family-friendly activities.
