Further, for 2 years, she served in Chicago where she forecasted lake effect snow and ‘Alberta Clippers’ that Chicago is known for. Also, it was there she got married and had her first child. Argen experienced the June fog in 1995 and the 1995 December wind storm that impacted the Bay Region.
The wind knocked down the Jewel Box in Golden Gate Park and swayed the giant redwoods near her home. To boot, due to the storm, there was a power outage for multiple days in her region. Even so, her largest weather obstacle was the El Nino winter of 1997. Immense pacific storms caused drenching rains and disastrous winds to the Bay Area.
That year, she gained an award for forecasting by the Bay Area Women in Radio and Television for the second time. Later, for 2 years she kicked back from the weather and went along with her family to Hawaii. She likes gardening, hiking, biking, and skiing.
