Brennan began her business news career in 2002 at CNBC as a producer for noted financial writer Louis Rukeyser. Margret wrote, researched, and booked guests for Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Weekly Show and prime-time specials.
Brennan then worked as a producer on Street Signs with Ron Insana, coordinating guest bookings and producing interviews with former President George W. Bush and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. On June 24, 2009, Margaret left CNBC to join Bloomberg Television. At Bloomberg, he hosted “In Business with Margaret,” a weekday show broadcast live from the New York Stock Exchange that covered major global financial, economic, and political news impacting the market. During his tenure, he broadcast live from Riyadh, Dubai, Cairo, London, Dublin, Abu Dhabi, and Davos. Margret was hosting live from Tahrir Square when Hosni Mubarak resigned after 30 years in power.
Brennan joined CBS News in July 2012 and has been based in Washington since. She covered the White House during the Obama and Trump administrations for CBS shows and is an alternate anchor on CBS This Morning and CBS Evening News. Margret was also part of the CBS News team that received a 2012-2013 Alfred I. Dupont-Columbia Award for coverage of the Newtown tragedy.
