She also presented the daily London Tonight newsletter.
Nightingale hosted ITV’s flagship show Wish You Were Here…? from 1999 to 2001 and also hosted The Really Good Food Show. 2001 Nightingale was promoted to the ITV Evening News and left her post on London Tonight. She was also part of the ITN team covering the 2001 general election. 2002 she announced the death of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Nightingale has also hosted various ITV shows including Holidays Undercover in 2006, The Girl Who Wants to Be Queen, and Diana – A Service of Thanksgiving in 2007.
