Tess Rowland Car Accident
Rowland was hit head-on by a driver driving the wrong way on Panama City Beach Parkway on the 4th of May 2021. Her life changed forever after the accident. The police on the scene said that the driver was intoxicated. She had become a fierce advocate against drinking and driving.
The accident changed her life “I was living my dream.” Tess stated. Only a year back, she was passionately pursuing her young career and soaking up a new life in one among the most beautiful places on earth, Panama City Beach. She recalled calling her mom who is her best friend before the crash and expressed how much she loved her and that she was the happiest ever in her life. Unfortunately, in a spilt second the life, she knew was over. Her 2019 Honda HRV was suddenly struck by a lifted Chevy Avalanche that had pulled in front of her going the wrong way on Panama City Beach Parkway.
Panama City Beach Police Chief Talamantez stated the accident to have been one of the worst accidents he had ever seen.“The fact that Tess came out of that you know with serious injuries, but it not being a fatal wreck is a miracle,” he said. “There is no worst-case scenario than that, it was a very horrific traffic accident.”He described.
Tess sustained complex fractures to her knee and shoulder. Doctors thought of amputating the lower portion of her right leg but luckily were able to save it. If she was over the age of 30, she would have required a total shoulder replacement. In addition, her injuries required 4 plates, 22 screws, and six surgeries so far. Tess internal injuries have forced her to live every day in pain
