There, she covered the 2015 Illinois General Assembly and the Governor at the time Bruce Rauner’s Inaugural year in office.

Brook witnessed historical stories including former President Barack Obama’s Farewell Address in Chicago. The President at that time gave her one of the best pieces of advice which she still holds. Brook also served as a producer in Decatur and the Dayside Reporter in Rockford, Illinois. In 2016, she was the youngest college professor in the state and she began teaching communication courses at Richland Community College in Decatur. She is also the current Executive Director and Producer of the Miss Illinois Earth USA and Miss Wisconsin Earth USA competitions.
