Cook is the morning & midday anchor for 25NewsWEEK in Peoria. Previously, she was a reporter/anchor at Heart of Illinois ABC (19) for four years. She replaced Semone Doughton who left the station after 3years to join Peoria Police Department as the spokeswoman. Therebefore Doughton left, Cook was the anchor for WEEK morning and lunchtime programs a position she has continued to host. “25 News Today” which airs between 4:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays on the local NBC affiliate while “25 News at Noon” begins at that time during weekdays and airs for an hour.

Cook anchored “Good Morning Illinois,” for four years which airs between 5 and 7 a.m. on weekdays on HOI ABC. With Longtime Peoria TV news and sports reporter Donnie Tillman being the co-anchor. In addition, Cook spearheaded “Troubleshooters,” which is an HOI ABC consumer-protection segment. HOI ABC and WEEK usually operate out of the same East Peoria facility although Gray Television Inc. of Atlanta assumed control of both stations after having purchased their previous owner, Quincy Media Inc. Jessica is originally from suburban Chicago, and began her broadcasting career at WEEK/HOI ABC in 2015, shortly after she graduated from the University of Illinois.
