She studied at Northwestern University and the Medill School of Journalism and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Later, she began her broadcast career in 1994 as a producer at WLBZ NewsCenter 2 in Bangor and later as a reporter. However, she moved from Bangor to Pensacola, Florida at WEAR-TV to work as a morning anchor and reporter.
Further, Catherine worked at KWTV News 9 in Oklahoma City as a fill-in anchor/reporter in 2000. However, she returned to Bangor as co-anchor of TV5 News at Five and has also co-anchored TV5 News at Six. Moreover, the program has now moved her to the anchor desk on TV5 News at Noon fitting into her family’s schedule.
Additionally, she has full-time responsibilities in the newsroom, being named Assistant News Director in addition to her anchoring duties. In addition, Catherine won an award for First Place Election Night Reporting 2019 – Maine Association of Broadcasters.
