The program airs weeknights at 8 p.m./7C on NewsNation. He began his broadcasting career by making appearances on CNBC, and MSNBC, where he discussed social and political-related issues. Additionally, he covered a wide range of topics related to contentious social problems while working as a correspondent and political policy expert for Fox News and Fox Broadcast Network’s Fox Files.

He then joined ABC where he served as co-anchor of 20/20. There he covered heroin addiction for a year, exposing how much it affected suburban families.  Additionally, he was the news anchor for Good Morning America from September 2006 to December 2009. As the lead reporter for breaking news stories, he covered dozens of assignments in roughly ten countries in addition to the United States.

During his time at ABC, Chris reported on the war on terror, being embedded several times in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan (where an IED struck his convoy). He covered the 2009 Fort Hood incident, the Pennsylvania Amish school shootings, and the Virginia Tech shootings when he was in the United States.
